CROWN INTERVIEW : Alicia Keys

With the global mega-hit “Girl on Fire,”
achieving over 1.8 million platinum sales worldwide,
and holding the record for the most Grammy Awards won by a female artist,
the iconic pop empress of our time—Alicia Keys.

Beyond the brilliance of her public life lies a quieter, more profound narrative—
one rooted in the most human yet luxurious of emotions.
Through the CSR foundation Keep A Child Alive (KCA),
we are invited to encounter the human-rights artistry she continues to champion.

Please introduce the Keep A Child Alive (KCA) Foundation.

Founded in 2003 in collaboration with global pop icon Alicia Keys,
Keep A Child Alive (KCA) is a human-rights organization dedicated to protecting vulnerable children.
Over the past two decades, KCA has safeguarded the rights and lives of nearly 10 million children across 25 countries, including the United States and Spain.

Beyond fundraising, KCA is deeply committed to building sustainable ecosystems—
providing access to education, healthcare, and environments that allow children not merely to survive,
but to live lives of dignity and value.
Our mission is to restore the possibility of a meaningful life, on a truly global scale.

KCA operates diverse international initiatives, including medical programs in Africa and India.

What inspired the launch of the Spirit of a Child campaign, and what social value do you ultimately seek to realize?

KCA’s flagship campaign, SPIRIT OF A CHILD, was created with the mission of ending AIDS among marginalized communities by confronting the physical, social, and economic consequences of HIV.

Its ultimate vision is to offer children suffering from illness not just relief,
but a life in which tomorrow can once again be anticipated with hope.

In South Africa, for example, nearly 30% of all deaths are AIDS-related,
a stark reminder of the medical inequities that continue to challenge modern society.
In response, the Spirit of a Child campaign launched in 2005 with a series of epoch-making advertisements and media initiatives—designed to dismantle stigma, reshape public perception, and inspire broader participation.

As a global R&B artist and co-founder, what was your first impression of Alicia Keys?

What matters most in your relationship with her?

Known to the world as Alicia Keys, Alicia Augello Cook is an acclaimed American singer, songwriter, and cultural icon.
With a total of 15 Grammy Awards, she stands alongside Madonna and Beyoncé as one of the defining pop divas of our era.

Yet within KCA, she is simply a devoted advocate for human dignity.
Through the power of her convictions and actions, she has helped save countless futures—far beyond what can ever be quantified.

Alicia Keys is an artist who transforms fragments of human rights into works of art.
Her graceful and deeply considered tributes, infused with a timeless spirit of challenge and compassion, have continuously empowered us—allowing stories of diverse lives to resonate across the world.

How did KCA come to collaborate with the global luxury bedding brand Crown Goose?

Crown Goose is widely recognized as a global luxury brand guided by ethical responsibility and principled conviction.
We all understand that noblesse oblige is far easier spoken than practiced.

Yet Crown Goose has consistently demonstrated its commitment through sustained international philanthropy—emerging as a cultural pioneer with a future-oriented vision.
We felt a profound alignment between Crown Goose’s values and those of KCA, and were especially moved by its leadership in shaping global living culture through what we regard as ethical trophies—achievements grounded in responsibility.

Together with Crown Goose, KCA aspired to open a brighter horizon for tomorrow.

Despite the uncertainties inherent in any meaningful journey, Crown Goose chose to walk alongside us—
pursuing intangible values through iconic collections that express beauty across all five senses.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Crown Goose for contributing to the momentum and expansion of KCA’s mission.

What are your future plans and long-term goals?

Our aspiration is to approach all humanity through the spirit of Celestial Devotion.

We aim not merely to raise funds for children in urgent need,
but to holistically improve the lives of marginalized children worldwide.
Over the past 20 years, through service, resource provision, and active participation in social initiatives,
we have focused on shaping a shared global vision—raw and powerful, like an uncut gemstone.

In moments of profound adversity, we have witnessed children demonstrate courage far beyond adult expectations—embracing resilience and hope with remarkable grace.
These experiences reaffirm our belief that sustained change can, indeed, create a better world.

For the children who simply dream of an ordinary life,
we will continue to give form to the collective voice of global compassion—
carrying within us a deep, transformative resolve as we move relentlessly toward a radiant future.
